Choose Seomyeon for a central city base, Haeundae or Gwangalli if the coast is your priority, and Nampo for western Busan. Busan Station is worth comparing when train arrival and departure matter most.
Seomyeon: start with transport convenience

Seomyeon connects Metro Lines 1 and 2. Compare accommodation here when your plans span the central city, western Busan and the eastern coast. Nearby Jeonpo adds an urban walking option.
A central base still means travelling to the beach. Check the actual walk from the station to the property, especially with luggage. For a quieter room, ask about the street, floor and sound insulation instead of relying on the district name.
Haeundae: put the beach into everyday plans

Compare Haeundae when beach time and the nearby coastal walk are central to your trip. Staying close can make it easier to return for a break rather than planning every outing as a long round trip.
Western Busan needs a separate journey. Check the property location on a map: an address in Haeundae district does not automatically mean a short walk to the beach or metro. Confirm the entrance and the walking route.
Gwangalli: choose the bridge and waterfront

Compare Gwangalli if the bridge view and an evening waterfront walk are what you most want from Busan. Check how you will get between your accommodation, the shore and the nearest useful transport stop.
A sea view in a listing may depend on the exact room category. Confirm it with the property before booking. If evening noise matters, ask about the room position and nearby activity.
Nampo: stay near the western city route

Compare Nampo for market streets and a trip focused on western Busan. It can suit a Nampo day with a separate Gamcheon visit, while the eastern beaches remain a journey to plan.
Check whether the route to the accommodation includes slopes or steps. A short map distance can still be awkward with bags. Ask about lifts, luggage storage and the specific entrance if these affect your stay.
Busan Station: consider the arrival and departure

If you arrive or leave by train, compare properties around Busan Station alongside the other areas. Being near the station can simplify luggage arrangements, but it does not remove travel to the coast.
Use your actual train and flight plans when choosing. Airport access is a different journey from reaching the railway station. Check it separately rather than treating the two as interchangeable.
Compare the property, not just the neighbourhood
Before paying, compare the exact station walk, room type, lift access, luggage storage, check in rules and cancellation conditions. If food requirements matter, verify them with the property or restaurant rather than assuming an area can meet them.
